Aqueduct: Five Grand Girl wins second stakes in five days

Five Grand Girl, who won Sunday's Patty's Positive Stakes going six furlongs, came back five days later to win the $60,000 Am Capable Stakes going a mile.

Rated in fourth position by Ramon Dominguez, Am Capable swung out three wide in upper stretch and rallied past Speightful Affair outside the sixteenth pole and cruised to a two-length score despite drifting out some late. Five Grand Girl, a 5-year-old daughter of Five Star Day, covered the mile in 1:39.50 and returned $4 as the even-money favorite.

Patty's Positive is now 4 for 4 over Aqueduct's inner track and 8 for 12 overall.

Dutrow has now won six of the last eight races he has participated in on this circuit with four of those wins coming in stakes. Dutrow is 19 for 71 over the inner track.
