Aqueduct: Fast & firm

Fast and firm at The Big A, and not quite as warm as yesterday, though we'll take 70 degrees any time.

The main track was highly conducive to early speed on Wednesday, with six of seven winners already in front at the pace call, and the other just 1 1/2 lengths off a pair of duelers.

Ramon Dominguez, who rode four winning favorites yesterday, is on ML choices Framed (3rd, 9-5); Sweet Slight (5th, 5-2); Chromospere (6th, 4-5); and Lohad (8th, 5-2). He is also riding Greece (9th, 7-2), who is second choice on the ML but may go favored after being announced as a gelding for his turf and seasonal debut for David Donk - a trainer whose fresh turf routers routinely run well in early-season turf races.

After a 6-for-9 Wednesday, favorites begin the day at 25 for 47 (53.7%) through five days at this 19-day meet.

Indeed, there won't be too much left to a handicapper's imagination, given a pick-6 sequence that begins with four maiden claimers (three of them for statebreds) and a "beaten" $7.5k basement claimer.
