Aqueduct: Cohen has bruised calf; done for the day

Email

Jockey David Cohen will be off his remaining four mounts at Aqueduct Thursday after he was stepped on by his mount, Talented Princess, leaving the starting gate of the opener.

Cohen was taken by ambulance to First-Aid, but after being checked out he declined to go to the hospital.

Cohen, the second-leading rider at this meet, is day-to-day, according to his agent Bill Castle. My money says he doesn't ride Friday, and will try to return Saturday.

Ramon Dominguez picked up the mount on Regal Warrior in the third. No replacements have been named for races 8 or 9.
